I am in a subway car with a woman who lives in the neighborhood where the tornado in Oklahoma came down. Biggest in history.

She has no idea if her house stands. Doesn't know if all her family and loved ones are safe.

I can't even imagine. What a horrid way to end a vacation.

The NexusQ audio device looks cool but here Apple is ahead with AirPlay and AppleTV which is $99. Using Spotify is way better than owning music anyway. The use cases here just are lame compared to AppleTV. Or, even Sonos. Anyone disagree with me? Why?

We are only a few minutes in and already Google is showing more cool stuff than either Microsoft or Apple showed. Google Now, which shows you lots of location-based stuff is mondo cool.

My Apple fanboy card is looking very lame.

We are also entering the contextual age.

Google is now taking the innovation leadership position away from Apple. Microsoft Surface looks very lame in comparison.

We still have an hour to go. Google is kicking ass. Big time.

300 homes destroyed already. So sad. Makes me not want to go to IO tomorrow and head to Colorado to help people out. Unfortunately I am also running a Dell event tomorrow afternoon and I have other speaking gigs this week. That said, anything we can do to help from San Francisco? Let's get it done!

Zynga snubbed Google+ here. If you want to play its new Ville game it only supports Facebook. Shows the challenge laid out for Vic Gundotra tomorrow at Google IO.

It will be interesting to see what Google does tomorrow to get in Facebook's face.

This is why Microsoft didn't announce a price for its Surface tablet last week. Imagine if they had announced a $399 price. This week that will look incredibly lame. It is very clear that Microsoft has to get under the $200 price point with its tablets. I've been saying that the ballsy thing for Ballmer to do would be to price it at $99. People have been telling me I'm nuts, but that's really what it's going to take to get Windows RT taken seriously by anyone.

Microsoft's shareholders aren't gonna like that at all. Remember how it cost Microsoft about $10 billion to build the Xbox brand? I do. Microsoft is going to have to spend $20 to $30 billion to marketshare here. That means a $99 tablet. If Microsoft tries to price against iPad it'll fail and fail horribly.
