Livescribe broke new ground last year with the Sky WiFi pen that could transfer handwritten and audio notes straight to the cloud (well, to your Evernote account anyway), so that they'd be accessible anywhere there's an internet connection.

Pay attention: this is how you behave when you've been hacked
The social media site Buffer was hacked today. This is a quick note to say how wonderful it is to see a company get out in front of a hack, work the problem and update its customers and users. I am not currently a Buffer user. I may well be in the near future.

Life With Google's Other Flagship Phone, The Moto X
Google has never made its own phones. The various "Nexus" flagship phones that carry the Google name have all been done in partnership with various handset manufacturers. Google's purchase of Motorola last year changed that. The recently launched Moto X is an Android phone designed and built by Google.

Google: Our Robot Cars Are Better Drivers Than Puny Humans
Data gathered from Google's self-driving Prius and Lexus cars shows that they are safer and smoother when steering themselves than when a human takes the wheel, according to the leader of Google's autonomous-car project. Chris Urmson made those claims today at a robotics conference in Santa Clara, California.
