In this office he came up with ideas that changed ALL of our lives.

Something is wrong with the world when Yahoo buys Qwiki for $50 million (I'm sorry to Qwiki's team, but I never liked it much) but Boxee (which changed TV for many of us) goes to Samsung for only $30 million. Sometimes I just don't understand valuations.

We lost a great one. Doug Engelbart passed away last night. Here's my thoughts.

Doug invented the mouse and was in the room when the Internet was turned on. A national hero.

Today I got a ride in a Tesla Motors model S with Sahas Katta who wrote a Google Glass app to control his dad's Tesla. Video coming tomorrow after I edit it and upload it.

When I toured CERN several years ago (thanks Laurent Haug for making that happen) I never dreamed that the company I work for would provide compute technology there.

Why does CERN matter? Well, the Web was invented there. No Web, no Facebook. :-)
