I love this photo of my three kids and Maryam Ghaemmaghami Scoble. Little Ryan's face, in front, is just priceless. By the way, Patrick Scoble was always unwilling to go on rides like this until he was goaded by a girl to go on one. Seems like he's enjoying them now. Milan, who is autistic, LOVES badass rides.

We had a great time at Knott's Berry Farm. Now home.

Tomorrow I'm gonna be in a dunk tank for charity at Candlestick Park (in the evening). That should make for some fun pictures, although I'm not gonna wear Google Glass. Might wear a GoPro, though! Rocky Barbanica is gonna be there trying to get me dunked, I'm sure!

Apple reportedly in talks to buy company behind Kinect sensor

Published

Israel is having quite a month. Looks like Apple might buy PrimeSense. Don't know what they do? Check out my interviews with Primesense's CEO: Why does this matter? See these interviews I did with Primesense's CEO: http://scobleizer.com/2013/01/22/the-contextual-sensual-ces2013/

This guarantees Apple will be innovative for years, if it happens. All sorts of companies from GM to games to others are building stuff with these sensors.

This is a major part of the age of context and if Apple gets this it's a HUGE win for it. Puts them years ahead of other companies.

Glass app developer of the week: Cecilia Abadie. Her "Genie" app is quite nice and her passion infects everyone.

Welcome to "the borg."

You can put me on vacation, but you can't take away my love of new startups and developers.

Just don't tell my bosses at Rackspace Hosting that I would do this for free, OK?

I agree with Sascha's words about Tim Stevens . He was always a nice guy to me and was doing a good job. I wonder if it wasn't good enough, though. The Verge has definitely done a better job of gadget coverage lately and I wonder if management isn't grasping at straws to try to get back Engadget's old domination of that space. I don't think it's possible for Engadget to dominate anymore. The Verge is just better behind Joshua Topolsky.

The real privacy problems with Google's Glass.

Great interview of me by Bryan Kramer. We cover a LOT of "Age of Context" ground (I'm working on a book with Shel Israel of that title), but this gets me to cover a bit that most other privacy advocates haven't covered: who owns the data off of the sensors?

Are you freaked out yet? Google is doing the most freaky stuff -- by far -- out of any company, big or startup. I love it. Will consumers? I think so but the next 18 months are gonna be really interesting.

Big Data and the Age of Context I'm honored to share this new Substance interview: Big Data and the Age of Context, an interview with Robert Scoble, Startup Liason Officer at Rackspace, author, global speaker, and new media phenomenon.

Oh oh Knott's Berry Farm is first to force me to take off Google Glass (to ride one of its scary roller coasters). Fun day, though and here you see my wife Maryam Ghaemmaghami Scoble get soaked on one ride.

These guys just tried to steal my Google Glass.

I threatened to get the NSA to take them out and they ran off.

Fun vacation times at Knotts Berry Farm.

TO THOSE WHO REPEAT that Facebook has changed its privacy policy you do realize you look very silly for passing along total bullocks, right?

Dennis Howlett you should know better. Look at Snopes BEFORE passing stuff like this along. http://www.snopes.com/computer/facebook/graphapp.asp

I just unfriended someone who proved to be a major jerk. Loss? I have room for someone nice. Facebook only let's me have 5,000 friends.

I just discovered why.
