Ooppsss. Facebook asked me to rate a bunch of TV shows (over on the right side, above the ads). Dijit seems involved. I didn't realize they were going to everyone one-by-one. That's not too nice, especially since they aren't on my wall/timeline. Hmmm Jeremy Toeman do you know anything about this?

One of the worst patents ever just got upheld in court
Forget patenting an invention. These days, companies patent conceptual categories for future inventions. During the first dot-com boom, Amazon famously patented the concept of buying things online with one click. More recently, companies have patented concepts such as scanning documents to an e-mail account, clearing checks electronically and sending e-mail over a wireless network.

I, like many others, was hesitant when I heard Google was releasing yet another feature aimed at helping readers sort important mail from the rest. I actually held off for almost two weeks after the feature was released before strongly considering enabling it in my account, which was very unlike me.
